Mold Remediation

You might be asking WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and WHY do I have this scary looking stuff growing on my walls and flooring? Mold and microbial growth is never something any of us want to discover in the comfort of our homes or the safety of our workplaces.

With the tremendous amount of information available via “google” and other resources, one can certainly learn a lot about MOLD. It has been a common practice to simply spray bleach on it and it will be okay. As many people come to find out, a mold and microbial growth is the symptom of a greater problem. A continuous supply of water is generally the culprit. This supply can be in large amounts which commonly leads to the toxic and notorious “black or Stachybotrys” mold. Or secondly, a small and possibly seldom leak that results in the growth of mold in different ways. There are thousands of species of mold with more being discovered on a regular basis. However, there is one thing that can be determined. It is not normal to see any amount of it growing on any surface inside your home, crawl space, or basement.

Thankfully, as a society, we are learning more and more about indoor air quality and the effects it has on us and the people around us. Out of site is never out of mind in this situation. Problems that are not remediated will result in mold spores traveling and contaminating other areas of your property.

At Southwest Emergency Restoration, LLC, we perform our scope of practices based upon the standards produced by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) Standard, and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation.
